International Travel

International Travel Clinics

Depending on your destination, certain medicines or vaccines may be recommended or required by your destination country.  At the Health District, our goal is to ensure you are protected from disease whether at home or traveling; therefore, we provide multiple vaccines to keep you and your family safe while you enjoy your time abroad.

Typical international travel vaccines are available to protect against: Diptheria, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Japanese encephalitis, Measles, Meningococcal disease, Mumps, Pertussis, Polio, Rabies, Rubella, Tetanus, Typhoid, Varicella, and Yellow Fever.

Health recommendations for international travel may be complex and additional time may be needed to acquire certain vaccines; therefore, please plan ahead and call to schedule an appointment by dialing 740-203-2040.  Private insurance does not cover travel vaccines. Fee information is available on our fee schedules DelawareHealth.org/fees.

Staying safe and healthy while traveling involves more than just vaccinations.  Certain areas may have special considerations for eating, drinking, animals and more.  We’ll prepare the information you need to know for your destination at your appointment.

If you would like additional information, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides a quick tool for international travelers at cdc.gov/travel.
