DELAWARE, Oh. โ The Delaware Public Health District, in collaboration with the Liberty Township Fire Department, is pleased to announce a new, free monthly Car Seat Safety Clinic designed to keep children safe on the road. These clinics will take place on the fourth Thursday of every month through August at Liberty Township Fire Station #322, located at 10150 Sawmill Parkway, Powell, OH.
The Car Seat Safety Clinic provides parents and caregivers with professional car seat safety checks by appointment only, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the following dates:
- February 27
- March 27
- April 24
- May 22
- June 26
- July 24
- August 28
During these clinics, certified technicians will help ensure car seats are properly checked and meet current safety standards. Appointments are recommended for one to two car seat checks per 30-minute session. Families with more than two car seats or more than one vehicle should schedule two appointments for adequate time. Appointments are for checks only. Individuals who qualify for a free seat will need to contact the Health District directly as that service is only offered at the Health District’s Delaware office.
For convenience, participants are encouraged to have the car seat ready for inspection or removed from its packaging before arriving. To learn more and schedule an appointment, call (740) 203-2079 or email carseats@delawarehealth.org.
