Delaware, OH — Each November, the SAFE Delaware County Coalition acknowledges those who passed away due to motor vehicle crashes in Delaware County through a remembrance ceremony. Although public events are not what they were in years past, SAFE feels it is more important than ever to acknowledge these individuals and observe their memory.

It is SAFE’s honor to invite you to a virtual ceremony remembering these traffic victims. This event will take place live on Thursday, November 12 at 12pm on the SAFE Delaware Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/safedelaware. The actual display will be located at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Delaware Post located at 1500 Columbus Pike in Delaware.

We are saddened to report that as of Oct. 31, 2020, 10 traffic victims are no longer with us. The SAFE coalition extends our deepest sympathy to the loved ones that these victims left behind.

As a way of paying our respect and remembering those victims, the SAFE coalition will also be acknowledging “World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims 2020” on Sunday, November 15 by spreading the word about traffic safety awareness using #WDoR2020. Lead by the Delaware General Health District, the SAFE Delaware County Coalition serves as a countywide network that unites community partners and leaders in an effort to maximize resources and provide injury prevention awareness related to traffic and child safety.
