  • This program includes information about:
  • Financing Medical Care (possible assistance to help with the cost of medications)
  • Alternatives to Laxatives (increase fluids and fiber, exercise)
  • Aids to help you sleep (non-drug alternatives)
  • Alcohol and Medications (contraindications)
  • Developing a system (ways to assist you in remembering to take medications)
  • Potassium Replacement (food sources that may be used if taking a diuretic that depletes potassium)
  • Medications and Food (food and drug interactions, including over-the-counter and drug-disease interactions)
  • SEAM medication tips (importance of knowing what medications you are taking, why you are taking it, never borrow someone else=s medications, etc.)
  • Vitamins, minerals and herbs.
